Gaugain Family Maternity session
This is Isabella, who just turned 4. She is very excited about the baby in her mummy's tummy but has informed Jonathan and Sally that she is NOT changing her soon-to-be baby sister's poopy nappies.
Jonathan and Sally had wanted to have me capture their first pregnancy but Sally was sick the entire time with Isabella and lost more than 20 pounds. The couple swore they would never do it again, but luckily they did, for this pregnancy was so different from the first, with Sally only sick for the first 3 - 4 months and after that, she was actually about to enjoy all the changes in her body. And in retrospect, the couple are happy they were able to have a photo shoot with the whole family so it all turned out for the best.
Jonathan had some fun ideas, like this eye twister (that should be what they call it when an image plays with the depth of fields and it looks like you are holding something you are not).
Jonathan had also picked a rose from their garden to present to the baby which I thought was sweet.
Since the scheduled C-section was yesterday, I will not be ruining the surprise in mentioning that the baby will be named Olivia Marie. I adore her booties and initial dangling from the ribbon for her door.
I think the finger in the belly button is hilarious, but also amazing considering that is where Sally was attached to her mother, and here one of her babies is pointing to the other still in utero - love the cycle of life.
