Tammy & Josh - The Reefs, Bermuda wedding

When Josh proposed to Tammy, it seemed she was the last to know. He had gone to her parents the week before to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage, and since the four of them usually go to dinner together on Friday nights, Tammy didn't think anything of it. They asked Tammy to decide where to go so she chose her favourite Italian restaurant, La Cucina, and after dinner, Josh disappeared to the men's room. Not realising that not only her parents, but indeed all the staff of the restaurant were in on the surprise, Tammy started to wonder what on earth was taking her love so long. She turned to look for him, and out he came with a dozen red roses and a little white box. All Tammy could do was cry and she doesn't remember anything that was said that evening except those four heavenly words, "Will you marry me?" The love birds tied the knot at Caso's Point at The Reefs before an intimate group of family and friends under perfect blue skies and surrounded by the romantic sounds of the surf crashing below.

Josh looked splendid in his Ralph Lauren suit and was just so twinkly in anticipation of exchanging vows with the love of his life.

Josh had his brother, Jason, be his best man, and was also joined by his father and nephew, Andre.

Keith is darling little Evan's dad and also happens to be Tammy's fave first cousin. Her stepfather was also in the groom's party so there were lots of very dapper men that day!

Andre was also one of Josh's ushers, as well as his nephew. Sweet little Evan, who is Tammy's first cousin, once remove, was the ring bearer and took his job very seriously.

Josh's ring is a platinum wedding band with beaded migrain edges. Tammy's is a platinum channel / shared prong style mounting with baguettes down the centre line and round diamonds on the sides.

The bride's "something blue" was this feminine frilly garter with the darling linked hearts on the blue bow.

The gorgeous lace dress was a Justin Alexander design and suited the bride to the tee.

Michelle from Gimi designed the incredible bridal bouquet. Flowers were really important to the bride as a reminder of all the loved ones who could not make it on the day.

I nearly had a heart attack when I saw these Benjamin Adams shoes - how utterly fabulous are they? Love a splash of statement colour on the otherwise all in white bride.

Doesn't Tammy just have that Hollywood smile that is so sparkly and light giving. Her whole face changed as well as my mood when she flashed me a grin - just so much happiness! Hair was done by Nikki Raynor and make up by Janae Foley.

These stunning Tacori earrings really added that Hollywood glam feel to her look as well.

Tammy was lucky enough to have her childhood best friend, Angel be her maid of honour, which was perfect since the two are sisters in their hearts so such a special day could not be missed. And the bride's new sister, also called Tammy, is Josh's sister was her other bridesmaid. How heavenly are the whites and lavender and purples of the dresses and flowers?

Tammy's mum has been nothing but everything Tammy could ever have needed or asked for in a mother. On the night of the proposal, Tammy's mum was so excited that her baby girl was finally getting married that the wedding was almost as big a day for her as it was for Tammy!

Such a sweet moment when Tammy's step father saw her as a bride for the first time.

The couple chose The Reefs for their wedding ceremony and reception because Tammy's mum and wonderful step father, Mike, who made the day all possible, were married on the property themselves and loved the place so much, they wanted Tammy and Josh to have as special a wedding day. The remarkable thing was, though they didn't realise until later, that Paster Dean Smith had actually married Tammy's parents as well.

Pastor Dean was funny and inspiring and made them all laugh and shed a few tears and the couple feel so thankful to have had such a special minister for their ceremony.

Tammy feels like she is living a dream as her love story has ended with finally meeting such a loving and caring man who also happens to be gorgeous! Her happy ending of at last marrying him and having the wedding she has dreamed of her whole life.

I think this is one of my fave moments ever. I don't know why I don't see this more often, but it was absolutely hysterical. Josh looked like a totally different person with that lush red lipstick on! So totally adorable!

The most special thing about the wedding for Josh and Tammy was family. It was a small crowd, but a very important crowd! The couple wanted their loved ones to know how grateful they were that each person could be there to join in such a special day, It is something they will cherish for the rest of their lives, and for those who couldn't make it, they were sorely missed.

Flowers were one of the most important elements of the day for Tammy and Josh. Although the dinner site was small and intimate, it was exploding with the most magnificent floral arrangements which literally took my breath away when I arrived. Sadly, some family and friends who couldn't make it to Bermuda to share in the festivities, so Tammy decided to represent them in spirit with the most glorious flowers so they would later see photos of they day and they would know how they were missed on the day of the wedding.

The Reefs created an elegant white cake that was once again, adorned in more of the glorious flowers in more of the sumptuous purples, lilacs and lavenders. It was a rich yellow pound cake with a chocolate cream filling which is Tammy's favourite. The flowers were just as Tammy wanted them, for as she told Josh "It is all about the Bride!". Poor Josh started to ask why didn't the groom have a say in anything, and it became a joke between them in the lead up to the wedding.

This was one of the funniest (naughtiest!!) cake feeding moments I have photographed. Tammy was such a trooper and Josh such a cheeky monkey!

How much do you love their faces below - just classic.

Dearest Tammy and Josh - your wedding was bliss and you two are so lucky to have found each other - well worth the wait! You were so lovely and thankful and aware of all your blessings and so focused on what is important in life and I felt honoured to be a part of your day. Thank you and wishing you much happiness in the years to come. xxxx
