Lucille & Matt wedding - Tucker's Point, Bermuda

Lucie and Matt had a dream wedding. The sun shone happily down upon them all day, they selected just beautiful church and reception locations, and most importantly, they were surrounded by 150 of their dearest friends and family on their special day. Aside from being totally gorgeous already, this couple have an infections love that spills out onto everyone around them that just makes people happy. I shot their engagement session last year, so was thrilled to be able to witness the love birds seal the deal in such a romantic and beautiful way.

Matt wore a  Stefano Ricci tie, and custom-made suit, complete with his name on the inside.

Boutonnieres, and indeed all the flowers on the day, were by Marguerite and her team at Petals. Lucie's rings were custom made to give the illusion of one complete ring as they fit so perfectly together. Matt chose his ring, made of platinum with a brushed finish and a beveled edge, and Lucie had "You are my heart" and their wedding date engraved on the inside.

The groomsmen's beige suits were Matt's gift to them, and they wore classic Tommy Hilfiger ties with navy to complement the bridesmaids' dresses.

Lucie's gorgeous was a Badgley Mischka design - I just adored that fun girlish bow on the front, and all those ruffles.

The shoes were J. Crew, and loved the rhinestone "I Do" at the bottom - such a sweet little detail and a great way to get the something blue covered, though Lucie also wore sweet blue knickers! Her something old was her grandmother's handkerchief which she'd had sewn into the skirt of her dress, and the dress itself, as well as her elegant Tejani jewelry were her something new.

The bride's favourite flowers are celosias so they were a highlight in her bouquet. Lucie feels like they resemble brain coral yet in such a beautiful, vibrant colour.

Lucie and her attendants prepared in a fabulous suite at Tucker's Point and so we had to sneak a few shots on the dramatic croquet lawn with those regal royal palms as a backdrop - love love love this location!

Lucie's hair was styled by Ian from Strands and her bridesmaids' hair was done by Peter from Tangles. Her makeup was done by Clarins through Strands.

Lucie and Matt fell in love with Reverend Stephen Bailey at Holy Trinity. They felt a true connection with him and his style and of course, they loved the beautiful water side location of this wonderful old church.

Matt and Lucie rode from the church to Tucker's Point in a much welcomed air conditioned taxi with a sweet little "Just Married" sign on the back. The rest of their guests were lucky enough to ride in real pink with blue Bermuda buses which got all the guests to the reception in style.

We had planned on doing the group and couple shots on the beach, but it was such a sweltering day, that everyone opted to do them indoors in the cool. Gorgeous light so everyone looks great so hopefully the water backdrop will not be too missed!

And then we slipped off for some time for the newly weds to be alone. These two were so cute together that I barely needed to encourage them at all - just adored their way about them.

How totally delicious is this series of images - I put them all together in a row of 4 to tell the story which looked so amazing, but you would not have been able to see the photos well enough that small so I figured you will have to scroll down to see the little story unravel.

Then the blissed up love bugs slipped out to their reception to join their guests while I snuck inside to capture some of their amazing details.

This heart tree just blew my mind. I could have spent hours taking photos of all the different designs. It was a surprise for the couple. Lucie's mother had sent out the glass hearts and some craft supplies to all the members of both families and asked them to please make an ornament that the newly weds could keep forever. It was such a delight to discover as Lucie and Matt walked into their dinner reception and see all the personalised hearts from everyone.

Instead of a traditional guest book, Lucie and Matt wanted to do something that they could look at everyday. They came up with the idea of plates that they could eventually mount on the walls of their home as a constant reminder of the loved ones who shared in their special day. Lucie is envisioning a very cool entryway or staircase covered in the different shaped plates with all the sweet endearments and well wishes in the different hands.

The pair also really wanted to honour their families on the day, and indeed the institution of marriage. They both come from families of strong marriages so the "Family Tree" was to showcase all the wedding photos from each of the happy couples in their families.

Nikki Begg and her team from Bermuda Bride were on call all day making sure everything went without a hitch, which of course it did!

The colours on the wedding day were navy, magenta, with accents of aqua and splashes of green. So vibrant and fun!

The cake was simple and modern yet so classic. Lucie loves the look of the white, smooth fondant which looks like porcelain, and then accessorised with elegant silk ribbon and a beautiful floral detail also made from white fondant.

Matt and Lucie feel so blessed to have had so many loved ones share with them in their celebrations, including about 90 of whom made the trip from overseas to be with them. The speeches from the father of the bride, best man and maid of honour were a highlight of the night. Each speech brought the crowd to tears and had the newlyweds laughing uncontrollably. These two have never felt so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends and know how truly loved they are.

Matt and Lucie, thank you so much for including me in your amazing wedding celebrations. It was an honour to document your love and all the wonderful details that are testament to how loved and in love the two of you are - lucky you! xxx
