Baby George

Sarah and Ian had been struggling to come up with a name for their baby boy for months. Throughout the pregnancy, Sarah had always referred to him as Georgie, but it wasn't even a name on their list of real considerations. But as soon as the sweet little man was born, Sarah said "Georgie!" and try as they did for the next two days to test out other names, nothing stuck. Turns out, he was George all along.

George is the couple's first child, and the first grand baby on both sides so he is completely adored by everyone.

Baby George was 6 pounds, 8 ounces at birth. Teeny tiny and totally adorable. He surprised his parents with a somewhat speedy arrival an hour after hospital admission and no doctor present.

Sarah and Ian - congratulations on your sweet little boy - so thankful that yet again, you have asked me to document such a special time in your lives. Enjoy this time soaking up every moment with him and try to get a little sleep in between all that loving! xxx

Baby Luke

Little Luke was born just before Christmas and his parents were over joyed with his arrival, not just because they couldn't wait to meet the new little baby, but also because his timing was perfect - it allowed them all to be home together for their first Christmas as a family of four.

Luke is extremely relaxed and easy going which Karen and Ben were not expecting at all as big sister, Lila, was also so easy that they couldn't imagine being so lucky a second time round.

Lila adores her new little brother and always wants to help change his nappy or give him a bath. She is very proud and tells everyone she meets about him - so sweet.

Luke didn't sleep for the session which I usually try to make happen so the baby's face is relaxed, but he was pretty chilled, though he did make a few funny expressions and let us know once or twice how he was not entirely impressed with being put in a bowl!

We decided to change things up and put him in a stocking. He only just fit so we didn't dare hang him but he looked so darling in there all the same.

Congratulations on your sweet angel boy - your family is complete! Thank you for asking me to document this incredible journey of life you are on and enjoy this special time. xx

James, Laura, Jack, Clementine & Charlie

I have known this fabulous family for years since I am close to James' sisters and so have known him and Laura since they were first married. But I have to admit, aside from seeing their eldest boy when he was coaching my kids in a tennis camp a couple of years ago, I have not seen their children since they were little and it was so lovely to see how they had not only grown into gorgeous almost-adults, but that they had also grown into lovely lovely people. James was given a portrait session gift certificate for his birthday from a group of friends. We did the session at their family home where they have lived for almost 20 years. It was particularly special to photograph the family all together there since they are saying a sad farewell to the house where lots of happy times of welcoming new babies, children growing up, barefoot fun in the garden, children's birthday parties with the Gombeys, pony rides and so many more memories took place.

Jack is now at Durham.

Clementine is at school in Malborough.

Charlie is also at Marlborough.

Bignor the dog is a huge part of the family and was with the family for the whole session - so sweet.

This shoot not only marked James' 50th birthday, but also the big move and such a huge turning point in their lives. They will of course miss all the cedar trees and overgrown greenery - a haven for a family over the years.

Thank you all so much for such a lovely shoot - your family is lovely and congratulations on the big move, but so glad we were able to capture your close family all together in the home where so many happy memories were made. xxx
