Chiasson Family Collection

The Chiassons had such a great shoot so they went for the Platinum package. They made up a folder of their 15 faves on Pictage.com and out of those, I picked the ones that I thought would work best for their Collection.

For images which I thought might be framed together, like twin ones of the children, or the shots of each parent with each child, I tried to manipulate them as similarly as possible. This way, they can have a matte cut with two windows for the shots of the kids, or even four windows for the ones of the parents that all match. Or even if they were not all in one frame, if they were hung in separate frames along side each other as a diptych, or tetraptych, that would work beautifully as well.

Such a sweet big brother helping his sister - these two have such gentle natures which always makes shooting a dream.

Howes Family

I love seeing how children change and families grow. I have the perfect job to allow me to do this with large enough gaps between shoots to really see the difference. This is the second time I have photographed the Howes. The first time was when Bella was just 1, and now it was her little sister Marleigh's turn to have the same age captured. Marleigh had been at the last shoot too, but she has a lot more personality now that she is out of her mother's belly! And Rhiannon was not in Bermuda for the last shoot so Jonathan and Cora Lee wanted to be sure to get a snap shot in time of the complete family. We were lucky to have some great weather during Rhiannon's time home and everyone's moods reflected the sunny skies.

Rhiannon was so great with her sisters, she made the shoot a breeze.

At the end of the shoot, they all just enjoyed the water and each other - I shot from a distance to allow them to just have fun.

Heinrichs Newborn Collection

I shot this session with Colleen, Eric and Baby Charlotte back in November, but I have been so backed up, that I was putting off Collections until I could get caught up and have the time to really feel inspired. I am now on a roll and feel my creativity returning as this was such a regal feeling shoot with which to get back into the groove.

Couldn't decide which toes shot I liked best so posted both.

They picked all vertical from this series so I assumed they would want to frame them together so I made sure all the variations I did were as closely replicated in all three shots.

Mother's Day Breakfast in Bed

Here are some shots I did for The Bermudian Magazine for ideas on how to plan a successful Mother's Day! These trays were so beautiful and romantic, it made me rather excited that I am a mummy myself, and that my big day is coming up - fingers crossed something so dreamy will make it my way that morning - I wonder if my 2 and 4 year olds can pull it off with no spills.

You can also become a fan of the Bermudian Magazine on Facebook so check them out here.

Daley Family

The Daley family hire me every winter to document the changes in their family, and to memorialise some of the love they share. They always have me come to their home and I love it as I get inspired by different parts of their garden each time and every shoot has been different. We tried to recreate a shot from last year above but the rest were totally different spots.

There are some kids I see that really help me understand the phenomenon of parents eating their young. It is just that they are so cute, how can parents help themselves? Kudos to Nigel and Veronica for controlling the urge thus far, for I have wanted to gobble
up these three for three years running, and they are not even my kids!

I won't even tell you what Veronica was doing to get the kids to laugh this hard, but Elijah, the youngest, was hysterical the way he kept hiding from the entertainment - it was literally too much.

This last one is such a keeper - the sibling tenderness and genuine happiness shared between the three breaks my heart.
